I used to fear the fructose from fruit because I thought consuming too much sugar was bad. The reality is that whole fruits and extracted or processed sugars have complete opposite effects. More fruit consumption is associated with greater health, less weight, and healthier blood sugar. The reasons are complicated but it essentially boils down to this: whole fruits are incredibly nutrient dense, full of fiber, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients while being relatively low in calories and high in water. It is likely the healthiest “fast food” on our planet. I usually eat a lot of fruit in the morning or as a pre-workout meal because it’s so hydrating and gives me a ton of energy. For those like me that are into the scientific evidence, here’s a nice summary from nutritionstudied.org https://ift.tt/2LW5coA #wfpb #wholefruit #eatmorefruit #superfoods #dontfearthesugar #healthiestfoodontheplanet #eatarainbow #nutritionscience #yogafood #foodRx #highvibes
