Sprouted tongue of fire beans. I always try to sprout my beans before cooking them. Most organic beans -- even if bought in bulk -- will sprout. Sprouting is a great reminder that plant-based foods, even dried beans, are living foods. They just need a little soak to wake up! Sprouting also unlocks more of the nutrients and makes bean more digestible. The food we eat provides the energy we need to thrive. So why not eat more of what comes alive!
