Dairy-Free But Missing Cheese? You Need This In Your Life

Living a plant based lifestyle does not mean you need to give up pleasurable foods. In the last year, the vegan cheese market has taken a huge step forward, offering incredible accessible options that are even better than the foods they replace. These delectable cheeses can be found in most Whole Foods Markets and many local shops. We're also huge fans of Miyoko's Kitchen's Cheeses and Riverdel - Fine Foods. The pick-your-own berries at my CSA have been amazing this season. Pick up extra when they are local in-season and on sale, and you can freeze them to enjoy later on. #eatarainbow #yogafood

Kendrick Farris using a different fuel to power him to Rio

Olympian Kendrick Yahcob Farris is one of the strongest American athletes. But the fuel propelling him to Rio is a bit surprising. "My son was born almost two years ago and something happened where I was like I'm just seeing the whole thing. So I'm like I need to do something different. Like how do you get back to what is the most purest form of our life, our being and it started with the food," said Farris who will be making his third appearance in the Olympics in August. On Facebook he wrote about his decision to go vegan: "I'm happy to report my life has changed for the better I feel like a new person." Doctors not taught to discuss diet, nutrition with patients

We are slowly challenging the norm that doctors do not consult patients on the role of diet and lifestyle. http://ift.tt/2aKV0wV #wfpb #foodRx
Good diet and nutrition can put you on a path to health and wellness, but it's unusual to find doctors who are trained well enough and can spend the time required to have this conversation with patients....
